Do any of these warnings sound familiar?

This program is designed to fix them, one by one.

  • You’ve been building apps for years, but you’ve never shipped one to the App Store.
  • You’ve done tutorials, but you wouldn’t know how to start an app from scratch.
  • You ask AI for code and can’t tell whether what it gives you is right.
  • You taught yourself and there are gaps you never quite closed.
  • You have an app idea and depend on someone else to build it for you.
  • You code in another language and the Apple ecosystem feels like a world of its own.

What you’ll be able to do

  • Turn an idea into requirements, data, states, screens and tasks
  • Write Swift 6.4 and native interfaces with SwiftUI and Liquid Glass
  • Choose an architecture and explain why that one and not another
  • Work with networking, persistence, strict concurrency and errors
  • Write tests that fail when something breaks, with Swift Testing
  • Protect your users’ data: Keychain, CryptoKit and privacy by design
  • Build accessible apps from day one: VoiceOver, Dynamic Type and contrast
  • Use the Xcode 27 agent and review its plan and its diff before merging
  • Defend your decisions in front of someone who knows more than you

In short: you’ll be able to build native, scalable apps that add value and pass review first time.

If it isn’t on this list, we don’t promise it. The diploma is awarded for the project you submit and we assess, not for showing up.

The agent’s three phases

AI isn’t a module at the end: its permissions grow with your ability to review it.

  1. Phase 1 · Weeks 1–3. The agent as a tutor. Asking it for code is off-limits; asking it for explanations is mandatory.
  2. Phase 2 · Weeks 4–6. The agent as a pair that makes mistakes. You write, it proposes, you audit. Every week: “find the agent’s bug.”
  3. Phase 3 · Weeks 7–8. The agent as a team. You specify, review the plan and validate the result.
  4. Every Thursday. Judgment Lab: your prompts and skills, assessed in class.

Curriculum

8 modules. Reviewed after WWDC 2026.

Capstone project

From December 7, 2026 to March 7, 2027.

You submit one to three apps that consume a REST API provided by the academy. One earns you the diploma; each additional one adds to your grade and your portfolio. Each app has three parts:

  1. The app, with its core written by you
  2. One feature built with the agent, plus your log: what you asked for, what you accepted and what you rejected
  3. A 10–15 min video defending your architecture and your decisions

Julio commented on “Defense.mov”

The video isn’t a formality: it’s where we see whether you understand every decision you made.

Assessment criteria

Understanding
Requirements translated into a coherent data model and states.
Code
Idiomatic Swift 6.4, correct concurrency, no solutions copied without context.
Architecture
A reasoned, defensible separation, not a template applied blindly.
Tests
That they exist, test real behavior and fail when something breaks.
Agent log
What you asked for, what you accepted, what you rejected and why: the proof of your judgment.
Defense
It doesn’t matter who wrote each line: what matters is whether you can defend it.

And you leave with a portfolio to show the world: your apps, your code and the defense of every decision.

Support

Live, hybrid or recorded classes
Monday to Thursday, 7–11 pm (Spain, CET). Recordings with all the materials within 12 h of each class.
Weekly mentoring sessions
With María Soriano. If you follow the course on your own schedule, you send your question and get a recorded answer.
Private Discord community
Indefinite access and 3 months of support after the program, with replies in under 24 h.
6 months of Be Native
Included with enrollment: the academy’s app to keep practicing with courses, snippets and tips after classes end.

Learning to find the way is your job. Making sure you don’t get lost is ours.

What’s new in this edition

After every WWDC we review the whole program. Here’s what changes from the previous edition.

SEP 2026 · v9.0

  • New Xcode 27 Agentic Coding throughout the course, with the agent’s three phases.
  • New Judgment Lab every Thursday.
  • Changed Swift Testing becomes core: your tests are the agent’s safety net.
  • Changed The entire curriculum updated to Swift 6.4, Liquid Glass and strict concurrency.
  • Fixed The capstone project now includes an agent log and a video defense.
Julio César Fernández, founder and academic director of Apple Coding Academy

Who’ll be with you

Julio César Fernández

Founder of Apple Coding Academy, Apple Technical Partner. Over 30 years programming. His philosophy: 100% native development, Apple’s best practices, and judgment above all.

Julio, before you start

I’ll tell you before you start: it’s going to be hard. And it’ll be worth it. My job is to make sure you don’t get lost along the way.

— Julio

And in the mentoring sessions

  • María Soriano, mentor on the Swift Engineering Program

    María Soriano

    Swift Engineering Program mentor

Trainer, tech communicator and YouTuber. She has taught in several countries and, for the past two years, has been a mentor at AC Academy in data intelligence with Python and in Swift and SwiftUI. She creates Be Native’s beginner content.

“Nobody is born knowing how to code. You learn by getting it wrong and understanding why, one line at a time.”

Investment and financing

We’ll go over it with you.

VAT-exempt as vocational training under Spanish law. We give you the exact amount, the instalments and the conditions in writing during the conversation. Art. 20.One.9, Law 37/1992.

  • Seat reservation deducted from the total
  • Financing for up to 48 months with Banco Sabadell or seQura (subject to approval)
  • Eligible for FUNDAE funding (Spain’s training credit system) if your company is training you. If it has no one to file it, we’ll introduce it to someone who does
  • Specific conditions for Latin America

Julio commented on “FUNDAE”

If your company is training you, ask about FUNDAE before you pay.

Where they started

  • Started from scratch

“I learned Swift, SwiftUI, how to connect to REST APIs and how to work asynchronously.”

    Jordi Sabrià Business owner
  • Came from another stack

“His approachability, availability and patience create a very positive environment for learning.”

Manuel Jesús Bermudo iOS and .NET Developer
  • Back to coding after years away

“The way he explains things makes everything much easier to understand.”

    Sergio García Calero SDP26 student
  • Self-taught, with gaps

    “It’s helped me enormously: I’ve learned things I didn’t know I didn’t know.”

Joyce Rosario Batista iOS Technical Lead

Questions you ask us

The questions we hear most, already answered. If yours isn’t here, we’ll answer it in the conversation.

Do I need prior experience?

No. We start from algorithms. If you have no experience, the two September prep modules are mandatory.

Closed · answered by the team

Does it make sense to learn to code now that AI writes code?

More than ever. An agent writes fast, but it doesn’t know your requirements or your quality bar. Someone has to decide what to ask it for, review its plan and answer for the result.

Closed · answered by the team

Will I become dependent on AI?

No, because of the method: at first, asking it for code is off-limits; later, you hunt for bugs in generated code. The goal is for you to be able to work with an agent and without one.

Closed · answered by the team

What if I can’t attend live?

You can follow it in hybrid mode or with recordings, available within 12 h with all the materials. Your questions get answered just the same, in writing or in a mentoring session.

Closed · answered by the team

I already code in Swift. Is it worth it for me?

If you already work with Swift and SwiftUI every day, the Swift Agentic Program is probably the one for you. We’ll tell you honestly in the conversation.

Closed · answered by the team

Which Mac do I need?

A Mac with Apple Silicon and Xcode 27. Intel Macs aren’t compatible with this edition. If you don’t have one, ask us before booking.

Closed · answered by the team

Is there a job guarantee?

No. We train teams at companies that later ask us for candidates; if an opening fits, we share it with students who’ve shown the level and given us permission. It isn’t a job board.

Closed · answered by the team

Is it taught in English?

Classes and materials are in Spanish. If that’s a blocker, tell us in the conversation and we’ll be honest about whether it works for you.
